Arles, France – A recent performance by the school orchestra at the Domaine du Possible in Arles highlighted the transformative power of music education, according to a statement from a French singer involved in the initiative. The singer emphasized the unifying force of music, stating, “it is indeed thanks to the ‘Orchestra at school‘ that we where able to make it all possible.Music brings us together definitively!”
The “Orchestra at school” program, a nationwide initiative, aims to establish an orchestra within a school class for a three-year period. This association, recognized for its public utility, actively promotes the principles of parity, equality, diversity, and inclusiveness. As of 2025, the program boasts 1,627 active orchestras across 100 French departments, engaging 44,000 children in orchestral practice within thier educational institutions.
The School of the Domaine du possible in Arles was established by Françoise Nyssen and Jean Paul capitani.
