Municipal DIF Supports Breast Cancer Fight – San Luis Potosí

San‌ Luis Potosí DIF ⁢System Bolsters Support for‍ Breast⁣ cancer Awareness Month

San ‌Luis Potosí, ⁣SLP – The Municipal System for the integral ⁤Development of the Family (DIF) in San Luis ⁤Potosí is reinforcing its year-round commitment to women facing breast cancer, with a renewed focus during ⁤October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The DIF ⁤system⁢ will provide free resources to beneficiaries, including oncological wigs, specialized tops, turbans, and⁣ breast prostheses. This initiative ⁤aims to offer both practical and emotional support to those ​undergoing treatment.

“Throughout the year we provide support to women who⁢ face this disease, in October we reaffirm our ⁣commitment to them by delivering oncological wigs, tops,​ turbans and breast⁤ prostheses,” stated Estela Arriaga Márquez, President⁤ of the capital DIF.

Registration for​ thes resources is open to those in ⁤need and will take place at the municipal DIF⁤ facilities located at Xicoténcatl 1650, colonia Himno nacional, Monday through Friday⁢ from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Applicants must present original and copies of their INE ⁤(National Electoral⁤ Institute ​ID),medical diagnosis,and CURP ⁣(Unique Population​ Registry Code).

hair Donation⁤ Drive

In‍ addition to direct resource provision, the capital DIF, under the leadership of Estela Arriaga, is actively encouraging citizens to participate in a hair donation drive. ‍Donated⁣ hair will be ⁣used to create wigs, contributing to ⁣the improved quality‍ of ‌life and self-esteem of individuals affected by cancer treatment.

This‍ initiative underscores​ the DIF’s ongoing​ dedication to providing complete support for women’s health within the San Luis Potosí community.
