For ten days, they live together in a communal setting while simultaneously playing a vital role in the competitions as “moppers.” These young volunteers are responsible for the crucial task of game management during the international badminton matches. The camp aims to foster not onyl athletic skills but also significant social and community values.
The Badminton Youth Camp is under the leadership of Daniel Pacheco Calderón and Gabriele Poste from the Badminton State Association of North Rhine-Westphalia. they are supported by a dedicated team of ten instructors, ensuring high-level athletic and pedagogical guidance. additionally, participants have access to the well-equipped sports facilities at the Styrum Sports Park, conveniently located adjacent to the von-Tann-Straße sports hall, for their leisure time.
