KOKAM Youth Wing Praised for Vital Role in Public Security and National Unity
JAKARTA, Indonesia –
Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo sigit Prabowo has lauded the Youth Wing of Muhammadiyah‘s KOKAM (Command for Preparedness) for its significant contributions to maintaining public security and order.
“I would like to thank KOKAM for the support provided to the Polri in maintaining stability, security, and order in society,” Prabowo stated during the 2025 KOKAM Mass Roll Call held at Tridadi Stadium in Sleman District, Yogyakarta Province, on Sunday.
The police chief highlighted KOKAM’s active involvement in various crucial activities, including providing security during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming exodus and celebrations. KOKAM has also assisted authorities in addressing public challenges, notably in natural disaster response.
Prabowo further commended KOKAM for its role in strengthening national unity, emphasizing their efforts to keep the Indonesian people cohesive.
“KOKAM always aligns its actions with the goverment to promote unity and uphold national and humanitarian values in an effort to make Indonesia a nation blessed by God,” Prabowo remarked.
He urged all KOKAM cadres to continue their synergistic work with the police and to support government programs and policies with unwavering integrity,discipline,and dedication to the state.
“I want you to continue to spread messages promoting religious tolerance and harmony in diversity, making Muhammadiyah’s youth a force that safeguards national unity and integrity,” he advised KOKAM members.
The general underscored that a strong sense of unity and integrity is paramount for Indonesia to achieve progress as an advanced and lasting nation.
