MrBeast Donates $10,000 to Wrestler Syko Stu Following Attack

YouTuber⁢ Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe campaign ⁢supporting⁢ the recovery of professional wrestler Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu. The⁢ donation comes after Smith was seriously injured during an incident at a KnokX Pro wrestling event in Los Angeles‍ on Saturday.

the GoFundMe campaign, “Help Support Syko Stu’s Recovery Journey,” has raised over $90,000 to cover Smith’s medical expenses, ⁢recovery support, and lost income.

The​ attack was carried out‌ by​ raja Jackson, son of UFC ‍Hall of Famer Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. KnokX pro Wrestling has described the incident as a planned spot that escalated⁢ into “a selfish, irresponsible act of violence.”

MrBeast, whose main YouTube channel boasts over 420 million subscribers, responded ​to news of the attack‌ earlier this week, stating on Twitter: “Dang man, this hurts to see. Especially as⁤ I read he⁤ was a ​veteran that used wrestling as an outlet to get over ptsd,” He added, “Genuinely, if⁢ anyone connected to him​ knows of a way I can definitely help please reach out.‌ If his kid is a fan or‌ I can definitely help with hospital ​bills idk but I’ll help.”

Other wrestling personalities have also contributed to the GoFundMe. Chris Jericho donated $2,500, and ⁣Swerve Strickland contributed ​$1,000. ⁣ Additional donors‍ include⁤ Rusev, Ariya⁤ Daivari, and NBA player Kristaps ⁣Porzingis.

in a Facebook post on Monday night, Stu Smith’s brother, Andrew Smith, ‍provided an update on his condition, stating that Stu is “currently conscious and able to talk but will have ​a arduous recovery ahead.” Andrew Smith ⁢also ⁤noted ‍his brother appreciates the outpouring of support.

Following the incident,‌ WWE ⁢terminated its relationship with KnokX pro Wrestling, ending the promotion’s participation in the ⁢WWE ID program.

The ⁣Los‌ Angeles Police Department is continuing its inquiry into the attack.
