Mohamed Sami Surprises Mai Omar with a Lamborghini for Her Birthday
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, director Mohamed Sami surprised his wife, actress Mai Omar, with a Lamborghini luxury vehicle adorned with roses on its hood for her birthday.
Mai Omar Receives Lamborghini for Her Birthday
Mai Omar shared a video of the surprise on her Instagram account, walking toward the new Lamborghini and captioning the post “Happy birthday to me.” It was noted that a bouquet of flowers was placed on the car’s hood. Several prominent figures from the artistic community reacted to the post on social media, including actress Shimaa, Ghada Adel, Basma Bousel, and Hoda El Mufti, who all extended public birthday greetings.

The celebrations extended beyond the physical gift as Mohamed Sami published a romantic tribute on Instagram stories. The director wrote, “You may not realize how exhausting it is to love a woman like you… a woman who, when she enters the heart, disrupts its system and scatters the balance of a man who thought himself strong.” He added, “You do not defeat me with my weakness, but with your soft strength.” Additionally, Sami shared a message on Facebook stating, “Happy birthday, Mai. Thank you for being my partner, my peace, and my greatest blessings… You are the heart of our family and the light of our lives.”
Mai Omar Transitions from Theater to Acting
The public milestone arrives alongside busy production schedules for both figures in the Egyptian entertainment industry. Mai Omar’s career trajectory began through university theater before moving into production and directing, where she directed a music video for singer Rola Saad. Her acting debut came in the series “Hekayet Hayat” alongside Ghada Abdel Razek, followed by roles in “Kalam Ala Waraq” with Haifa Wehbe, “Hala Eshk,” the play “Baba Gab Moz,” and her role in the 2016 Ramadan series “El Ostora.”
Most recently, Mai Omar starred in the feature film “Shamshon w Dalila” alongside Ahmed El Awady, Essam El Saka, Khaled El Sawy, Mohamed Tharwat, Ahmed El Refaei, and Sami Maghawry. The film follows Dalila, an orphaned woman trained in self-defense who engages in disguises and cons, before meeting Shmsom, who practices all illegal activities except murder. The pair are assigned a covert mission in Spain to recover a rare, two-million-dollar diamond while evading mafia syndicates, a production scripted by Mahmoud Hamdan, with screenplay and dialogue by Amgad El الشرقاوي and Shady Mohsen, cinematography by Mahmoud Shahin, and directed by Raouf El Sayed under producer Ahmed El Sobky.
Looking ahead to the 2027 drama season, Mai Omar is preparing to star in the social-popular series “Halima Gibran,” written by Mohab Tarek and directed by Mohamed Bakir. The 30-episode drama features an ensemble cast including Sayed Ragab, Bayoumi Fouad, Yosra El Lozy, Mohamed Hatem, Engy El Mokaddam, Sama Ibrahim, Hazem Ehab, Emad Rashad, Mohamed Lotfy, and Arefa Abdel Rasul. Simultaneously, Mohamed Sami is attached to direct and write a new season of the “El Ekhteyar” series starring Amr Saad, while also making his acting debut in the series “Qalb Shams” and appearing as an actor in “Eshmawyy” directed by Peter Mimi.
