ascentiz Launches Modular Exoskeleton,Offering Personalized Support via Kickstarter
Amsterdam,Netherlands – A new modular exoskeleton,the Ascentiz,is gaining rapid traction on Kickstarter,raising nearly half a million euros in a single day. the device promises to alleviate strain on hips and knees, offering customizable support for a range of activities and possibly reducing the risk of falls.
Unlike traditional exoskeletons,the Ascentiz is designed wiht modularity in mind. Users can select and attach either a hip or knee module to a central belt, tailoring the device to their specific needs. Currently, these are the only two module options available.
According to the company, the Ascentiz is engineered for extended use, capable of assisting users for up to 10 hours or 50 kilometers. Artificial intelligence plays a key role, predicting the user’s next movement to provide optimal support.
Early testing suggests the exoskeleton can make walking feel up to 30 kilograms lighter and assist movement at speeds up to 28 kilometers per hour. Ascentiz also claims a 40 percent reduction in the chance of falling. Users can further customize their experience through an accompanying app, selecting modes optimized for comfort, speed, or training.
As of today, with 44 days remaining in its campaign, a single Ascentiz unit including both hip and knee modules is available on Kickstarter for approximately 940 euros, with delivery scheduled for december.
