Moatasem Al Nahar discusses infidelity, harassment and separation
Syrian actor Moatasem Al-Nahar stated during a television interview that he was a partner in infidelity during a past relationship and faced harassment over his looks on social media, according to Al Arabiya.

Appearing on the program “Ana w Bas” hosted by Cynthia Sabbagh, Al-Nahar discussed the complexities of his personal life, addressing his past separation from his wife, Lynn Baranjakji, which lasted for more than a year before their reconciliation in 2024. Al-Nahar acknowledged that he participated in infidelity during a previous relationship, stating that the situation did not stem from premeditation. Instead, he explained that life circumstances swept him into enjoying the moment and his surroundings, while the other person suffered and made sacrifices without him realizing it, as reported by Erem News.
Al-Nahar attributed the strain on his marriage to a lack of experience and insufficient maturity, noting that he and his wife married at a young age and lived away from their families before welcoming their daughter, Sandra, during their second year of marriage. He added that his demanding work schedule required long hours away from home, causing his family to miss his presence during critical occasions, according to Sayidaty.
Al-Nahar Avoided Divorce with Family Support
Describing the separation as one of the most difficult phases of his personal and familial life, Al-Nahar stated that he never desired a divorce. To keep his family close, he secured a home for his wife and daughter right next to his own so the relationship would not be completely severed, as noted by Okaz. He credited veteran actor Salloum Haddad with offering vital personal support during the crisis, explaining that Haddad constantly rebuked him for entertaining the idea of a permanent split and urged him to prioritize family unity. Al-Nahar also highlighted the role of his young daughter, Sandra, who actively encouraged communication between her parents and helped set the stage for their reconciliation.
Harassment Claims and Grooming Maintenance
Beyond his marital challenges, Al-Nahar revealed that his physical appearance triggered verbal harassment on digital platforms, where comments and behaviors frequently crossed the boundaries of standard admiration. Addressing his grooming routine, he confirmed that he does not undergo surgical cosmetic procedures but utilizes Botox to maintain his appearance, while also emphasizing that weight loss remains an essential part of his overall health regimen.
