The Miami Marlins are gaining ground in the United States standings, though still trailing the league leaders. As of August 3,2025,the Marlins are 1.5 games behind the second-place Boston Red Sox and 4.5 games behind the first-place Toronto Blue jays.

This recent success is fueled by strong performances from players like outfielder Colton stowers, who showcased his power in a recent game at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. The Marlins, managed by Skip Schumaker, are currently competing in the National League East division. the team is looking to secure a playoff berth, with key upcoming series against the Atlanta Braves (August 12-14) and the Philadelphia Phillies (August 27-29) perhaps impacting their postseason chances. The Blue Jays, led by manager John Schneider, currently hold the best record in the United States at 78-48, while the red Sox, under Alex Cora, are 76-50. the Marlins’ record stands at 71-54.
