Search Underway for Missing Vilnius District Man, Pijus Švarcas
RUDAMINA, Vilnius District – Authorities are seeking teh public’s assistance in locating Pijus Švarcas, a young man who went missing from his home in Rudamina, Vilnius District, overnight on September 10, 2025. The disappearance is considered unusual as Švarcas left behind all personal belongings, including his phones, money, and even his dog, along with a note indicating an intent to depart.
The case has prompted concern among family and friends,who are actively involved in the search. Švarcas was last seen at approximately 11:00 PM on September 9, 2025. His sister, appealing for help on social media, reports that a witness has come forward claiming to have interacted with Švarcas during the night of September 9-10, and that he expressed intentions to travel towards Poland by hitchhiking.
Švarcas is described as wearing dark, knee-length black or gray shorts, black sneakers, a dark t-shirt, and potentially a multi-colored sweater. He has extensive tattoos covering his entire left arm and was likely carrying a black backpack.
