remains of Missing Man Jordan Moray Found in Brecon Beacons After Six-Year Search
Bannau brycheiniog National Park, Wales – The remains of Jordan Moray, who went missing from Cwmbach six years ago, have been discovered near the Llwyn-onn Reservoir, South Wales Police confirmed on Wednesday, August 30th. The discovery brings a somber end to a prolonged search effort by his family and authorities, and allows them to finally lay him to rest. Police have stated Mr. Moray’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Mr. moray was last seen in 2017, and despite numerous searches and reported sightings – including one in stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire in 2021 – he remained missing. His mother, Debbie Moray, persistently searched the mountains and forests, driven by hope and a refusal to give up. The family had tirelessly pursued any lead, even following up on a mysterious letter sent to police signed “Kevin Humphreys,” but attempts to identify the author proved unsuccessful.
Mr. Moray’s brother, Josh, shared his grief on social media, stating, “He wasn’t just my brother he was my best friend. He’s been a big loss in my life and always will be. Now my mam and dad can lay him to rest. Love you Jordan Moray can’t wait to meet you again big bro my heart is lost without you.”
Debbie Moray issued a fresh appeal on July 24th of this year, the sixth anniversary of her son’s disappearance, expressing the daily “agony” of not knowing while still clinging to hope. The family regularly conducted extensive searches, with Debbie, her brother, and his wife covering vast areas on foot and by bike.
