Miss France Angélique Angarni-Filopon Overcome with Emotion at Miss Martinique Election
Fort-de-France, Martinique – Angélique Angarni-Filopon, the reigning Miss France, was visibly moved to tears during the recent election of Miss Martinique, Léaline Patry. The event held particular meaning for Angarni-Filopon, as Martinique is where her own journey to the Miss France title began.
“I was sworn not to cry, but I took such a wave of love from the Martinicans…,” Angarni-Filopon shared with TV Leisure, adding, “To tell you the truth, I still find it arduous to achieve.”
The emotional response stemmed from a homecoming filled with public displays of support. Upon arriving at the Aimé Césaire airport, Angarni-Filopon was greeted with banners thanking her for becoming Miss France, a feat the Martinican community continues to celebrate.
Angarni-Filopon expressed her delight in passing the torch to Patry, describing her as “a very beatiful soul.” She has also offered ongoing support to the new Miss Martinique, stating she remains “reachable if she feels the need” and is available to assist other regional Misses as well.
Despite nearing the end of her reign, Angarni-Filopon remains committed to her philanthropic work, particularly with the Bonne Fées association, which supports women battling cancer. She intends to increase her involvement with the association following her term as Miss France, emphasizing the importance of continuing to “remind them that they remain beautiful and remarkable women.”
