Mini Countryman Untamed Edition adds ground clearance and off-road styling
Continental Divide for Mini Buyers
Mini Countryman buyers seeking an off-road focus will face new regional restrictions when production of the Untamed Edition begins in November 2026 at the BMW Group plant in Leipzig, Germany, according to official automaker announcements detailed across European automotive reports.
Untamed Edition Increases Ground Clearance and Recalibrates Systems
The newly detailed Untamed Edition builds on the Mini Countryman by introducing a suspension lift of 15 millimeters. This increases overall ground clearance by up to 19 millimeters depending on the specific trim and powertrain.
Other global markets like North America apply the raised setup across the wider lineup.
Alongside the altered geometry, engineers recalibrated the anti-lock braking system, dynamic stability control, and steering mechanics to accommodate the new configuration.
Customers can pair the Untamed package with various powertrains depending on the market. These include the Countryman C, D, and E, as well as all-wheel-drive S ALL4 and SE ALL4 models. Selecting the Untamed Edition does not automatically mandate an all-wheel-drive system across all sales regions.

Protective Films and All Terrain Tires Enhance Utility
The rugged aesthetic is reinforced by Dark Steel grille details and matte protective films on the wheel arches and side sills. C-pillar and rear badging feature a mountain motif.
Optional Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires fitted to new 19-inch wheels are standard equipment in North America. European buyers, however, must pay an extra charge for the off-road rubber.
For transport and utility, the vehicle supports a roof load of up to 75 kilograms while driving and up to 300 kilograms while stationary.
This structural capacity allows for the deployment of a rooftop tent developed in partnership with Italian firm Autohome. The tent utilizes gas struts to deploy within seconds. When equipped with an optional towing hitch, the Countryman can pull trailers weighing up to 2,000 kilograms. In Germany, the Untamed package carries an additional cost of 4,700 euros.
Outdoor Styling Meets Electric Midnight Edition Variant
Inside, the cabin incorporates outdoor-inspired styling, featuring Nightshade Blue sports seats, new textile trim pieces, and a center console equipped with elastic retention straps. Practical additions include durable rubber floor mats and a specialized boot floor mat.
In parallel with the off-road variant, Mini introduced the Midnight Edition for the electric Countryman, built on the Classic trim level.
Upcoming Production Rollout
Production schedules place the rollout of the Untamed Edition at the Leipzig manufacturing facility in late 2026, with market introduction slated for early 2027.
Official pricing for individual Untamed trim variants remains unannounced by the manufacturer.
