Court documents show that Morvan earns $1,846 per month in wages or salary, supplemented by $1,500 in monthly bonus income derived from an annual bonus of $18,000. When weighed against his income, the 60-year-old singer reported holding just $3,845 in total cash and bank accounts. He listed zero funds held in stocks, bonds, or other traditional investment assets, placing his total liquid worth below $4,000.

These figures emerged as part of a formal response to Kim Marlowe’s legal requests. Marlowe petitioned the court to have Morvan cover $50,000 in attorney fees alongside $25,000 for a forensic accountant. Marlowe requested the forensic accounting services to meticulously examine Morvan’s financial portfolio and establish an appropriate spousal support figure. Morvan argued in his filings that his current earnings are insufficient to cover those legal expenses.

While reporting modest income, Morvan listed monthly bills totaling $9,261. To bridge the deficit, his current partner, Tessa van der Steen, covers more than $5,000 of their household expenses each month. Morvan, van der Steen, and their four children—Sacha, 12, Solange, nine, and four-year-old twins Paris and Vince—currently reside in Europe, having previously settled in Amsterdam before establishing their current household abroad.

The divorce filing itself follows a remarkably long period of estrangement. Court records indicate that Morvan and Marlowe secretly married on December 3, 1998, keeping the union private for decades. However, Morvan stated that they remained married for only two years before separating and living apart for more than 25 years prior to Marlowe filing for divorce in January 2024.
The legal battle also centers on past business and managerial ties. Morvan stated that he avoided filing for divorce earlier due to fears of potential blackmail. He additionally alleged that Marlowe collected payments from his musical projects for years while serving as his professional manager. Morvan formally terminated Marlowe’s role as his manager in 2023, subsequently questioning whether he received all funds owed to him from past projects and requesting a full accounting of those historical payments.
