Mike Tyson Reveals He Delivered a Letter from Diddy to Donald Trump
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson revealed during an Oct. 8 appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live that he delivered a letter to President Donald Trump on behalf of Sean “Diddy” Combs, xxlmag.com reported. Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his July 2025 conviction on prostitution-related charges.
Mike Tyson Details Contact with Incarcerated Mogul
During the radio interview, host Andy Cohen asked Tyson if he remained in touch with the disgraced music producer while he serves his federal sentence. Tyson, 60, confirmed that he spoke with Combs once over the phone. According to Tyson, the incarcerated mogul asked him to deliver a communication to the White House. He wanted me to give a letter to the president,
Tyson told Cohen, adding that he obliged the request without disclosing the specific contents of the correspondence.
The account matches reporting from January, when sources told The US Sun that Tyson had hand-delivered a pardon request letter to Trump after receiving it from someone within Combs’ inner circle, nypost.com reported. President Trump acknowledged receiving a letter from Combs asking for a pardon during a January interview, though he stated at the time that he had no intention of granting the request. An attorney for Combs confirmed in August 2025 that the defense team had approached the administration regarding a possible pardon.
Tyson also expressed surprise at the prosecution tactics used against the hip-hop producer, noting to Cohen that authorities used a 110-year-old rule The Mann Act to get him.
A jury convicted Combs on two counts of transportation for prostitution, while acquitting him of two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and a racketeering conspiracy charge.

Combs Enters Solitary Confinement as Release Date Shifts
The White House addressed related media scrutiny in October, issuing a statement denying reports that Trump planned to release Combs from prison that week. There is zero truth to the TMZ report, which we would’ve gladly explained had they reached out before running their fake news,
the administration stated, emphasizing that the president holds sole authority over pardons and commutations.
