Latvian musician Mick Galvanovskis is gearing up for the November 7th release of his new album, “Calling It My Own,” unveiling a unique release strategy of dropping a new single each day from November 3rd to 7th. The recording of “Varu būt” featured contributions from Kristens Kupčs, Mārcis Briška, Jānis Narbuts, and Reinis Briģis, though Galvanovskis notes the musicians are “very, very difficult to recognize” in certain parts of the video.
“The song is about how different people can be to adapt and like each other,” Galvanovskis explained. “As always, I wriet lyrics about my life. At the moment, I have come to a stage in my life were I don’t really see the possibility that in the near future I could have a greater love for someone than for my work and being on stage. the video of the song also vividly shows what people’s personalities are like – from gentle to crazy, from sweet to revolting.”
The ten-track album will be fully released on November 7th, coinciding with the launch of Galvanovskis’ first major tour, “Calling It My Own.” He also hinted at “some more big news” to be revealed on the album’s release date.
