Rome to Host industry Hub Mia Market Alongside 20th Festa del Cinema in October
Rome, Italy – The 20th edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma, running alongside the Mia Market, will spotlight French cinema this october, showcasing films from Rebecca Zlotowski (“Privacy”) and Arnaud Desplechin (“Two Pianos”), among others. The dual event solidifies Rome’s position as a key destination for international film professionals and audiences.
The convergence of the festival and market aims to foster collaboration between industry leaders and celebrate cinematic artistry. This year’s Festa del Cinema will feature French films across several sections, including the Progressive Cinema Competition, Freestyle, Grand Public, Special Screenings, and History of cinema. Concurrently, Mia Market will provide a platform for co-production, financing, and distribution opportunities.
The 23rd edition of Alice Nella Città, a parallel section dedicated to young audiences, will also present a selection of French films, including animated features “Planets” by Momoko Seto, “Amélie and the metaphysics of the tubes” by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Han Han, and “A Second Life” from Laurent Slama.
The Festa del cinema di Roma will present films in competition, out of competition, and within the harmony section. Freestyle will also include a series component, and a “Best of 2025” showcase is planned.
