Meritz Securities Overseas Stock Collection: Investor Demand Surges

Meritz Securities’ New Stock Collecting Service Attracts Over 5,400 Investors in First Month

SEOUL, September 26 – Meritz Securities’ recently launched “overseas stock collecting service” has quickly gained traction with investors, surpassing 5,400 users within its first month of operation, the company announced today. The service allows investors to accumulate fractional shares of international stocks, lowering the barrier to entry for global asset investment.

The popularity of the service reflects a growing demand among Korean investors for diversified portfolios and access to leading international companies. Meritz Securities’ offering enables investment at customizable cycles and amounts, appealing to both novice and experienced traders. More than 60% of applicants opted for a recurring, unit-based accumulation strategy.

Data from Meritz Securities reveals that the average application amount is 94,000 won per unit, 164,000 won weekly, and 411,000 won monthly. The most sought-after stocks, based on total investment value, were QQQ (INVESCO NASDAQ 100) with approximately 110 million won, followed by Vanguard S&P 500 (96 million won), SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 (69 million won), NVIDIA (50 million won), and Palantier (29 million won).

To further incentivize participation, Meritz Securities is hosting an event through October 31st, offering decimal US stocks to a total of 1,100 customers.One thousand customers who apply for stock collecting,irrespective of amount,will be randomly selected to receive shares of NVIDIA,Palantier,Apple,alphabet A,or Tesla. An additional 100 customers with cumulative purchases exceeding 1 million won will receive US stocks valued at 10,000 won.

“Overseas stock collecting services are getting a good response in that they can easily invest in global assets at the cycle and amount they want,” stated Kim Sang-soo, managing director of the digital business at Meritz Securities. “We will continue to expand innovative investment services in the future.”

Investors can participate in the event through the Meritz Securities website or mobile trading system (MTS) event page. Prizes will be awarded on November 7th.
