The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, originating in 1979, has achieved enduring success by balancing evolution with a steadfast commitment to its original design principles. Despite significant advancements in automotive safety and aerodynamic standards over the past four decades, the G-Class’s essential silhouette has remained remarkably consistent. Originally conceived as a military vehicle,the G-Class transitioned to civilian markets in the early 1980s.
