Initial Raids Yield Multiple Firearms
The first operation, conducted in an undisclosed location, led to the seizure of a diverse array of weapons.Authorities recovered a 9 mm pistol with a charger containing 12 cartridges, a 22-caliber handgun with altered serial numbers, and a revolver of the same caliber. A non-functional metal replica firearm was also confiscated, along with more than 20 rounds of ammunition of varying calibers. During the raid, one suspect attempted to flee, discarding a weapon before being apprehended a short distance away.
Guaymallén Targeted in Separate Operations
A second series of raids in Guaymallén focused on locating an individual who had evaded authorities from the 25th police station and investigating a case of aggravated robbery. Troops from the local investigative unit searched four residences, resulting in the arrest of two men and the seizure of a 22-caliber pistol with a charger, cartridges, and a spent casing.
Drug Trafficking Operation Uncovered
The third intervention occurred at a residence on Olascoaga Street in Guaymallén, stemming from an investigation into an attempted aggravated robbery within the city. This search led to the apprehension of two additional suspects and the discovery of a significant drug cache. Police seized 554.9 grams of cocaine, 17.4 grams of marijuana, and 3.54 grams of cannabis buds. Also recovered were a precision scale, drug packaging materials, and 570,000 pesos in cash. Due to the quantity and nature of the narcotics, the case has been transferred to federal jurisdiction.
