Meghan Markle Shares Sweet Father-Daughter Moment with Lilibet

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry shared a rare and intimate glimpse into their family life on Valentine’s Day, posting a new photograph on Instagram featuring Prince Harry holding their four-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.

The image, taken on a grassy field as the sun sets, shows Prince Harry smiling as he cradles Lilibet, who clutches a bunch of red balloons. The Duchess captioned the photo, “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines,” referencing their six-year-old son, Prince Archie. The post marked the clearest public view yet of Princess Lilibet’s face, as previous images released by the couple have often obscured her features.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down as senior members of the British Royal Family in 2020, have consistently sought to protect the privacy of their children. The couple relocated to California the same year and now reside there with Archie and Lilibet. Images of the children are infrequent, and when shared, are typically carefully composed to limit visibility of their faces, making this Valentine’s Day post particularly notable.

Princess Lilibet Diana, named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s childhood nickname, was born in June 2021, while the Queen was still alive. Her middle name, Diana, pays tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. The release of the photograph comes as Meghan Markle promotes her new Netflix demonstrate, “With Love, Meghan.”

The photograph’s release also follows a recent solo appearance by the Duchess at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles, where she wore a Harbison Studio gown. Prince William and Princess Kate, Harry’s brother and sister-in-law, marked Valentine’s Day with an outtake from their 2025 Christmas card photoshoot.
