Meet Five Winemakers at Bluestone Vineyard Virginia Wine Tasting
Bluestone Vineyard reported an upcoming evening of Virginia wine, poured by the people who make it, scheduled for October 10 during Virginia Wine Month. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Meeting House Banquet Hall located at Bluestone Vineyard in Bridgewater, Virginia.
Tickets Cost $80 for Virginia Wine Tasting
Tickets cost $80 per person, while Press Club members pay $72, with the discounted rate limited to two tickets per member. Attendees will taste a curated selection of wines from five accomplished Virginia winemakers and enjoy delectable small bites throughout the evening. Guests have the opportunity to meet the winemakers pouring each bottle and hear what makes every bottle unique. Crossroads Café provides the small bites for the event, serving a selection of dishes to complement the wines.
Five Winemakers Present Selections from Across the State
Five winemakers from across the state will present their selections during the tasting:
- Stephen Barnard, a native of South Africa who studied enology and viticulture, crafts estate-grown wines at Keswick Vineyards using science, artistry, and terroir.
- Damien Blanchon, born into a French winemaking family and trained in France, oversees the vineyard and cellar at Afton Mountain Vineyards with sustainable practices.
- Matthieu Finot, raised in France’s Crozes-Hermitage region and trained in Burgundy, produces Domaine Finot wines using natural yeast and a minimal-intervention philosophy.
- Lee Hartman discovered winemaking while helping establish his family’s vineyard and now serves as winemaker and general manager at Bluestone Vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley.
Participants Must Verify Age for Bridgewater Event
Organizers require all participants to verify their age prior to attending the tasting event. The gathering highlights regional viticulture in Bridgewater, bringing together winemakers from diverse backgrounds to showcase Virginia-grown fruit and estate production.
