Medi: Gate News Samsung Electronics acquisition of Digital Healthcare Company Zels… Super personalized prevention -based care service

[메디게이트뉴스 이지원 기자] Samsung Electronics announced on the 8th that it has signed a contract with the US digital healthcare company XEALTH.

The company plans to provide ‘Connected Care‘ service in the United States by acquiring Zels. The acquisition process will be completed this year.

Connected Care is a service that helps Galaxy users prevent diseases and care for health by connecting the wellness field to care for everyday health. Samsung Electronics plans to focus on preventing disease.

Zels is a company that provides several digital healthcare solutions on one platform. It was founded in 2016 at the Providence Health System, a representative large hospital group in the United States.

Zels holds more than 500 digital healthcare solution companies, including 500 hospitals, and more than 500 hospitals, including major hospitals in the United States, including the Providence Health Systems, Advocate Health and Banner Health.

The platform provided by the Jels allows medical staff to comprehensively identify the patient’s condition so that the digital healthcare solution can be prescribed and recommended to the patient, and the patient’s real -time health monitoring is supported. Specifically, you can recommend apps of a solution partner company that can manage blood sugar and lifestyles for diabetics, and you can monitor blood glucose changes, dietary control, and exercise records at a glance.

Samsung Electronics plans to provide connected care services that connect user’s biometric data measured by wearable devices to connect professional medical services.

If the connected care service is in full swing, the information gaps that occur as the patient’s usual condition and hospital medical records are managed separately, and the connection between the patient and the medical staff will be further strengthened. In addition, the company plans to expand its digital healthcare ecosystem to provide personalized services by connecting with home appliances.

Roh Tae -moon, president of Samsung Electronics’ DX Division, said, “We want to help people manage their health in their daily lives through cooperation with innovative technology and industry partners.

“Samsung Electronics and Jelsels have a common goal of implementing true connected care in the healthcare field and developing digital healthcare,” said Michael McSherry.

“We will provide insights to patients and introduce new digital healthcare possibilities by combining the medical records of the hospital.”
