Responsibilities of the Outreach Program Development Specialist
The outreach Program Development Specialist will be responsible for promoting Mayo Clinic’s core values and supporting community-based health care. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing outreach program development goals specifically aimed at MCL hospital client outreach programs.
- Facilitating and coordinating the delivery of MCL outreach consulting and support services to achieve stated outreach program development goals for MCL client hospitals and integrated delivery systems.
- Evaluating,planning,coordinating,and developing MCL hospital client outreach program opportunities in conjunction with MCL client goals,objectives,and resources.
- Effectively communicating and working with multiple levels within a healthcare organization, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Medical Directors, Laboratory Governance, and various hospital departments.
- Identifying market opportunities and needs and refining MCL client outreach services and offerings accordingly.
- Serving as an organizational resource, staying abreast of regulatory and reimbursement issues, and providing direction in a concise, sensitive, informative, and professional manner.
This position requires approximately 35% travel.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, medical technology, or sciences.
- Five years of experience in a related field such as business planning, project management, operations, billing, managed care, outreach information services, or consulting.
- A master’s degree in business, healthcare, or sciences is preferred.
- Hospital outreach development experience is preferred.
- excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proven negotiating and influencing abilities, and well-developed facilitation skills.
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.
- The ability to work independently, be accountable, and perform well within multifunctional environments.
- Customer focus and the ability to manage several projects or tasks concurrently while exercising appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving ability.
Compensation and Schedule
The compensation range for this position is $88,836 – $133,348 per year. Education,experience,and tenure might potentially be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The position is full-time, with 80 hours per pay period, typically Monday through Friday during business hours. Occasional weekend travel may be required based on client schedules and needs. This position requires up to 35% domestic travel.
