“Stranger Things” star Maya Hawke married musician Christian Lee Hutson in a Valentine’s Day ceremony in Modern York City, People magazine reported Wednesday.
The private ceremony, held on February 14, was attended by Hawke’s parents, actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, who were married from 1998 to 2005, according to reports. Several of Hawke’s co-stars from the Netflix series, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, were also present.
Hawke, 27, who played Robin Buckley in “Stranger Things” between 2019 and 2025, wore a white wedding dress and a feathery white coat, even as Hutson, 35, opted for a traditional tuxedo. Thurman was seen in a light blue gown, and Ethan Hawke wore an all-black suit, People reported.
The couple reportedly met through music, with Hawke confirming in June 2024 that she and Hutson had been friends for four years before becoming romantically involved while working on her 2024 album, “Chaos Angel.” “recommend highly enough dating your friends,” Hawke said in an interview with The Zach Sang Show.
Hutson, a former member of “The Driftwood Singers,” embarked on a solo career in 2019 and has since released three albums, including “Paradise Pop. 10” in 2024. Hawke contributed to Hutson’s “Paradise Pop. 10,” writing songs with him, and described him as a “poet musical genius” in an Instagram post last July.
Hutson subtly confirmed his engagement to Hawke in a March 2025 interview with SoCal Sound Sessions. Representatives for Hawke and Hutson have not yet responded to requests for comment.
