Marvel Comics is releasing “Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun” #1 this week, marking one of twenty-five recent titles scheduled for release throughout February and March 2026, according to the publisher’s website. The surge in new releases comes as Marvel continues its direct market distribution through Penguin Random House Publisher Services, a system implemented in October 2021.
Alongside “Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun,” other titles debuting this month include “Black Panther 60th Anniversary Special” #1, “Generation X-23” #1, and “Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon” #1. Further releases scheduled for the coming weeks include “It’s Jeff Meets Daredevil” #1, “Dungeons of Doom” #2, and “Knull” #2. Several ongoing series are also continuing with new installments, including “Doctor Strange” #3 and “Daredevil/Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger” #4.
The increased output of new comics coincides with Marvel’s status as a subsidiary of Disney Publishing Worldwide since March 2023, following its initial acquisition by The Walt Disney Company in December 2009. Founded in 1939 as Timely Comics by Martin Goodman, the company evolved into Atlas Comics by 1951 before adopting the Marvel Comics brand in August 1961 with the launch of “The Fantastic Four.”
Marvel’s digital comic offerings are also expanding, with a focus on Marvel Unlimited, a subscription service providing access to thousands of digital comics. Best-selling digital titles include “X-MEN: AGE OF REVELATION #0” and “Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu,” alongside older titles like “Miracleman” and “Captain America” facsimile editions.
The publisher is also releasing facsimile editions of classic titles, including “Civil War Facsimile Edition” #7. Ongoing series such as “Fantastic Four” and “New Avengers” are continuing with new issues, while titles like “Captain America” and “Empyre” are also receiving new installments.
Marvel Comics maintains its headquarters at 135 W. 50th Street in Manhattan, New York City. C.B. Cebulski currently serves as Editor-in-Chief, and John Nee as Publisher.
