This isn’t your typical Marvel fare. Marvel Zombies expands on the alternate timeline first explored in the What If…? series,where a quantum Realm virus transforms Earth’s population – heroes included – into zombies. The recently released trailer has already sent shockwaves through the Marvel fandom, largely due to the animated debut of Blade, the famed vampire hunter.
While Mahershala Ali won’t be lending his voice to the animated Blade (the role goes to Todd Williams of The Chicago Code),the series boasts an remarkable voice cast. Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence pugh, and David Harbour are all reprising their iconic Marvel roles, promising a chillingly familiar experience.
Notably, Marvel Zombies marks Marvel’s first foray into adult animation, and it’s not holding back. Expect plenty of bloody, zombie-slaying action – so much so that the series has earned a TV-MA rating.
