Martien Meiland Painting Spree causes Chaos at chateau Meiland, Prompts Erica‘s Frustration
South Limburg, Netherlands – A painting project at Chateau Meiland descended into chaos this week, leading Erica Meiland to declare she “can’t work with such a person,” reportedly referring to her husband, Martien. The incident, captured on the SBS6 reality show Chateau Meiland: the dolce lives, involved a significant mess and a clash of approaches to home enhancement.
According to reports from the show,Erica attempted to offer Martien guidance during the painting process. Though, Martien rebuffed her suggestions, responding with a dismissive, “Tips? No!” and mockingly repeating Erica’s instructions to “stir well.”
The situation quickly escalated, with paint splattering across the floor and surfaces. Maxime Meiland, observing the unfolding disaster, questioned the source of the mess, asking, “Can that be from Mama?” Martien reportedly blamed Erica for the paint splatters.
Further inspection revealed paint dripping everywhere, a spatula covered in paint resting on the fireplace, and a paint pot filled with lumps. Erica’s frustration reached a breaking point, culminating in her statement that she could no longer collaborate with Martien on the project.
Maxime and Montana meiland also expressed their dismay. Maxime commented, “Gosh dad, you know how to paint at your age,” while Montana pointed out that the work wasn’t properly taped off, violating a rule set by Erica. Martien defended his actions, claiming Erica would never have objected.
Despite the criticism and visible chaos, Martien remained unfazed, gesturing to his ears and stating, ”There in it, and out of it.”
Chateau Meiland: the dolce lives airs every Monday at 8:30 pm on SBS6.
