Marlins Defeat Yankees 2-0 with Dominican Star Performances

Marlins Blank yankees 2-0 on Ramírez‘s Pair of homers

Miami (AP) – Dominican rookie Agustín Ramírez powered the Miami Marlins to a 2-0 victory over the New York Yankees on Saturday, connecting for two home runs to account for all the game’s runs.

The Marlins secured their fourth consecutive win and claimed the series against the Yankees,building on their earlier 13-12 win in the series opener. This marks the Marlins’ sixth consecutive series victory,improving their record to 29-14 as June 13.

Pérez Dominates on the Mound

Marlins pitcher Eury Pérez delivered a stellar performance, allowing just two hits and striking out six batters over his outing. Despite brief delays in the first inning due to issues with his Pitchcom device, Pérez (4-3) efficiently completed his work on 88 pitches.

The bullpen continued the shutout effort. Ronny Henriquez and Tyler Phillips followed Pérez with perfect innings, and Calvin Faucher closed out the game with a flawless ninth inning for his eleventh save.

Ramírez’s Offensive Spark

Ramírez ignited the Marlins’ offense early, hitting his 16th home run of the season against Yankees opener Cam Schlittler in the first inning. He extended the lead in the fourth inning with his second solo home run, also off Schlittler (1-2).
