Machado Signals Impending change, Calls for Unity as US-Venezuela Tensions Rise
Caracas, Venezuela – Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado shared a message of determined optimism via TikTok, suggesting a significant shift is imminent in the country’s political landscape. In a video posted to her official account,Machado rallied her supporters, emphasizing preparation and faith as key to achieving a “new, good, luminous Venezuela.”
“My dear Venezuelans, dear teams, we continue advancing in the preparations to raise this Venezuela,” Machado stated, referencing the recent July 28th elections and the subsequent organizing efforts. She urged followers to maintain focus and “visualize” the changes to come, encouraging them to connect with others and build a broad base of support.
Machado invoked religious figures José gregorio hernández and Mother Rendiles, calling on “the hand of God and our saints” to guide thier efforts. She specifically requested followers participate in a prayer campaign leading up to the October 19th canonization of Hernández and rendiles, framing it as a spiritual preparation for the days ahead.
“We do it together, in prayer and in organization. And that is what I want to ask them, as we are all necessary,” Machado said. She expressed confidence in an influx of returning Venezuelans, anticipating “so many” family members and friends coming “home” in the coming weeks. She cautioned against distractions, urging followers to “discard all noise and lie.”
Machado concluded with a resolute declaration: “Venezuela will be free. This is happening and we go together from the hand of God to the end.”
This message arrives amidst escalating tensions between the venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro and the governance of US President Donald Trump. Trump has adopted a more assertive stance on national and democratic security, implementing a series of measures aimed at addressing perceived threats.
Currently, a US military deployment is underway in the Caribbean Sea, focused on combating drug cartels operating in the region. The White House has specifically designated a cartel known as “Los Soles” as a terrorist organization, alleging it is indeed led by Maduro himself. A reward of $50 million has been offered for information leading to Maduro’s capture.
Machado’s statement, encapsulated by the phrase “We have already left them completely alone,” suggests a belief that the Maduro regime is increasingly isolated and vulnerable, and that a significant change is on the horizon.
