Quiet march, which is on the one hand tribute to tragically deceased Klaudia K.to the other – a protest against violence, taking place in public space, set off from the Copernicus monument in the very center of Toruń a quarter of an hour after 15. Young people with a black cross were heading, you could still see people with flowers and candles. Some were wearing T -shirts with the inscription: “Win the evil with good”.

About five thousand people took part in the silence march. Many participants in an interview with the reporter “Fakt” admitted that they feel fear for the safety of his and his loved ones. As they emphasized, what happened to Klaudia should never take place, and yet the acts of violence on the streets are increasingly happening.
– I connect in pain with Klaudia’s family. I go as part of the protest to say “enough” of this violence that is on the streets. These are not jokes, such situations happen – Katarzyna told us and added: – We want it to be safe in Poland.
Katarzyna was accompanied by her husband, Mr. Paweł. He carried a white rose in his hands. “He pays tribute to Klaudia,” he explained. “And I take an active part in the expression of our anger and the cause that it would be safer in Poland,” he said.
We also saw a bouquet of flowers on the lap of Grzegorz, a wheelchair moving in a wheelchair. Why did he decide to take part in the silence march? – This is my duty. I do it for grandchildren, because I’m just afraid of their future – Mr. Grzegorz told the reporter.
The powerful lines passed along Długa Street and ended in the heart of the Glazja Park, exactly where the attack took place. There, the participants laid flowers and candles, the black cross also rested there.
The brutal murder of 24-year-old PhD student Klaudia K. shocked Toruń
The tragic event occurred on the night of June 11-12. Klaudia K., a 24-year-old PhD student at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, returned home through Park Glazja, when she was unexpectedly attacked by a 19-year-old Venezuela citizen, Yomeykert R.-S. According to investigative findings.
The witness who heard a call for help immediately reacted and called for emergency services. Klaudia K. was in a serious condition, where doctors fought for her life for two weeks. Unfortunately, on June 27, the woman died as a result of injuries.
YomeYKERT R.-S. He was detained by the police shortly after the attack and initially heard the charge of attempted murder. After the death of the 24-year-old, the prosecutor’s office announced a change in the qualification of the act for murder.
