Manchester City Dominate Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in Champions League Clash, cherki Seals Victory
Manchester, England – November 28, 2023 – Manchester City emphatically defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in their Champions League Group G match on Wednesday, solidifying their position as a formidable force in the competition. Erling Haaland, against his former club, and a brace from Phil Foden lead the charge for the 2023 European champions.
City’s dominance was briefly challenged in the opening twenty minutes by Dortmund’s high press, but the English side quickly responded. Haaland, appointed captain for the match, now boasts 18 goals in 14 appearances this season, including 5 in the Champions League, and a total of 142 goals in 160 matches for Manchester City since joining in 2022.
The result leaves Manchester City undefeated after four group stage matches and in 4th place in the league phase. City has previously defeated bayern Munich 2-1 at home earlier this season.Their upcoming schedule includes matches against leverkusen and Real Madrid in the champions League, and a Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday.
