Man Spat On After Confronting Queue-Cutter at Burger King
A man was allegedly spat on after confronting another customer for cutting in line at a Burger King outlet on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.The incident, which occurred around 1:35 PM, began when the victim observed a man attempting to obtain free burgers without a proper queue number.
According to the victim, Burger King staff were distributing queue numbers for a promotion. The man in question reportedly refused to take a number and rather took one belonging to a staff member.When the victim approached the man to ask him to return the number, the situation escalated.”I told him to return it,but he refused,” the victim stated.”I saw him starting to be aggressive, so I promptly took the cellphone to record the process.” It was at this point that the man allegedly spat on the victim.
A commotion ensued, and the victim reported the incident to the Bukit Batok police. The alleged perpetrator, accompanied by a woman, had reportedly fled the scene before police arrived at approximately 2:08 PM. The woman who was with the accused allegedly denied that her companion had spat on the victim, a statement the victim believes could constitute a violation of the law for providing false facts to the police.
After more than a month without an update,the victim contacted the police for information on the case’s progress.He was reportedly informed that no action would be taken and was advised to pursue a civil suit, despite the incident being considered an assault. The victim expressed his disappointment, feeling that the police were overlooking criminal behavior despite a formal report being filed.
Tho, following the report of the incident, police confirmed that the report had been submitted. The accused customer, if found guilty of spitting in public, could face a fine of up to Rp 25 million.
