Man sentenced for sexual exploitation of six minors | Federal

Denver, ⁣CO ‍- ⁤ A ⁣Colorado man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on Tuesday for ⁤exploiting six minors thru online means, teh‍ department of Justice announced. Kevin Michael Moore, 34, of Aurora, pleaded guilty in August ‍2023 to one count⁤ of production ‌of ‌child sexual abuse material.

The ‍case highlights the growing threat⁢ of online sexual exploitation of children and the Justice Department’s commitment to pursuing perpetrators. According to court documents, Moore engaged in online activity resulting in the creation ​of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of six victims ​under the ⁣age of 16. ‌The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Denver Field office, with assistance⁣ from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

U.S. ‍District⁢ judge ​Raymond P. Moore imposed the sentence, also ordering⁢ Moore to forfeit assets and undergo lifetime supervision upon release. “The‍ sexual abuse of children is a horrific crime that causes lasting trauma,”⁢ said U.S. ⁤Attorney Cole finegan for ‍the District of Colorado.”we will continue to relentlessly pursue those who prey on vulnerable children and hold them⁢ accountable for their⁣ actions.”

The sentencing follows an​ investigation that‍ began in February 2022 after a tip ​from the ‍National center for Missing and Exploited children (NCMEC). ⁣FBI agents executed a search‌ warrant at Moore’s residence, seizing electronic⁣ devices containing ‌evidence of​ the abuse.
