Man Guilty of Murder in Rosamond Shooting – Window Dispute

Rosamond Man Convicted of⁢ First-Degree murder in 2020 Shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (October 27, 2025) – A Kern County jury has found Raffi Daniellian guilty of first-degree murder for the 2020⁢ shooting death of ⁤Lavel Myers in Rosamond, stemming from a dispute over a broken window. Daniellian, 50 years to life, was sentenced⁣ today, October 27, 2025.

The incident occurred on October 19,2020,at a ​residence on ⁢Grandview Terrace in Rosamond. According to the Kern ‍County District Attorney’s Office, Daniellian ​went to Myers’ home to confront him about ‍the​ damage.

Evidence presented at trial, ⁤including ⁤doorbell camera footage, showed⁣ Daniellian⁤ waiting at the front ⁢door for over ‌two minutes, repeatedly ringing the doorbell. After ‌being acknowledged by Myers,​ Daniellian proceeded to the ​back patio and instantly demanded payment​ for the broken window. Within seconds,authorities say,Daniellian‍ fired eight shots​ at the⁤ 25-year-old victim,resulting in his death.The footage also captured Daniellian⁢ fleeing the scene with a firearm.

Daniellian initially pleaded not guilty ⁤by⁤ reason of insanity in 2022. Following a verdict of ⁤first-degree murder ⁢on ⁤September 17, 2025, a sanity⁢ phase of the trial commenced, with both the defence and prosecution presenting expert testimony. On September 25, 2025, the ‌jury determined ⁣that Daniellian was ⁤legally sane​ at the time of the​ murder.

“Daniellian’s premeditated killing demands full accountability with the appropriate prison sentence,” stated​ District ⁤Attorney Cynthia Zimmer. “I am grateful‌ to the jury ​for their careful ⁤deliberation and for acknowledging the gravity of his actions in taking an innocent life.”

Consequently of the sanity finding,Daniellian will serve⁤ his sentence in‌ the California Department of Corrections,rather‌ than a mental health facility.
