Man Charged with Murder: Uxbridge Stabbing Victim Identified

Man Charged with ‌Murder Following Uxbridge‍ Stabbing

A⁢ 22-year-old man has been charged with murder after a triple stabbing in Uxbridge, west London. Safi Dawood,of Midhurst gardens,was charged with the murder of 49-year-old Wayne Broadhurst,and the attempted murders⁣ of a‍ 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy. ​He is also facing a⁢ charge of possession of an offensive weapon.

Police were called too Midhurst Gardens on‍ Monday, October 27th, at approximately 5:00 PM ⁢following reports of the incident.Paramedics arrived on scene and attempted to‍ save Mr. Broadhurst, who died from multiple stab wounds.

According to the Metropolitan Police, Dawood resided ⁣in the same⁣ area ‌as the victims and had no prior connection to any of the individuals he is accused of attacking.

Following his‌ arrest, Dawood⁢ underwent assessment while in custody and afterward required hospital treatment for a ⁤medical episode. He has ⁣since been returned ​to police custody and is awaiting a court appearance scheduled for thursday at‌ Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

The case has garnered significant public attention, in part due to Dawood being an Afghan national who had⁢ claimed‍ asylum in the UK.

The metropolitan Police have issued a statement urging the public and​ media to‍ refrain from sharing any information that could potentially jeopardize future legal ⁣proceedings.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall⁢ stated: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family ⁣and friends at this unimaginably difficult time. The incident will have understandably caused concern to⁤ the local community. I have deployed multiple officers to‌ the local area, they will be here throughout the week ⁢to‍ provide reassurance while detectives work intensely⁣ to piece together the ⁢circumstances.”
