Investigation Details Emerge
Approximately 55kg of herbal cannabis were found concealed within a truck arriving from the United Kingdom on Saturday. Revenue officials located the drugs, packaged in vacuum-sealed containers, inside the vehicle’s sleeping compartment. The seizure resulted from targeted risk profiling procedures employed by Revenue.
Following the discovery, Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the case. He has since been brought before the courts to face charges. Investigations are actively continuing to determine the full extent of the operation and identify any further individuals involved.
