The victim, who has not been identified by name, was walking in the area of Creditview Road and Britannia Road West on the evening of November 17 when he was intercepted by the group. According to reports from the Peel Regional Police, the suspects initiated a conversation by asking the man where he was from. When he responded that he was from India, the group allegedly began to punch and kick him.
The victim sustained injuries that required medical attention at a local hospital. Police officials confirmed that he has since been discharged and is recovering from the physical trauma of the attack.
