Award-Winning Storyteller Mafane to Enchant Audiences with ”Teh Country of the Big Nowhere“
Sainte-Marie, Quebec – Storyteller Aurore Alessandra, performing as Mafane, will bring her acclaimed show, “The Country of the Big Nowhere,” to the Méchatigan Sainte-Marie room on Friday, September 26th. The performance promises a captivating exploration of the power of imagination and shared inner worlds.
Mafane’s show isn’t about escaping reality, but rather recognizing the boundless potential within it. “It talks about what we are doing inside us and what’s going on when our imaginations are shared. This is where everything becomes possible! It is indeed a tribute to the power of the imaginary,” Mafane explained.
As 2022, Mafane has been touring France and Quebec with ”The Country of the Big Nowhere,” collaborating with a talented team to bring her vision to life. Martin Dawagne handles sound design, Charly Mullot manages lighting, and Alberto Garcia Sanchez and Diane Bouchard are responsible for the staging. The collective aims to create an immersive experience that resonates with audiences of all ages.
“It will join the small ears as much as the big ears,” Mafane said, adding that the show offers “a unique experience of reflection on how we live, together.”
Mafane’s dedication to the art of storytelling was first recognized in 2015 when she became the inaugural recipient of the La Relevant Stock Exchange, an award presented by Storytellers of Canada.
