Actress Lyubov Virolainen Announces Divorce from Konstantin Plotnikov, Cites Years of Infidelity and Neglect
Moscow, Russia – Actress Lyubov Virolainen has publicly announced her divorce from actor Konstantin Plotnikov, alleging a years-long pattern of infidelity and emotional neglect. Virolainen detailed a painful breakdown of the marriage, marked by her husband’s affairs and consistent absence, culminating in a final, devastating humiliation.
The divorce follows a year of attempted reconciliation, including couples therapy, which ultimately failed to repair the damage caused by Plotnikov’s alleged behavior.Virolainen stated Plotnikov was absent for their initial court hearing, leaving her to manage the legal proceedings independently. The declaration arrives as Plotnikov stars in the new series “Sovereign,” where he plays the lead role of Peter the Great.
According to Virolainen, the issues began after Plotnikov’s initial success. She claimed he engaged in multiple affairs, with one woman publicly acknowledged at a film premiere. “After the fact of the first betrayal with the girl, who dressed him on the red carpet of his first premiere, was revealed, I wanted to leave, but decided to forgive,” she shared. “We have a family, a small child…probably, he just could not cope.”
Virolainen described a particularly painful incident at a hotel where she was addressed by one of Plotnikov’s alleged partners. “The humiliation that I felt cannot be conveyed in words. I wanted to die at that moment,” she stated. She further alleged that each new project for Plotnikov seemed to coincide with a new relationship.
Concluding her social media post, Virolainen wrote, “Today we have been divorced. I am free from your dirt, constant lies and miserable humiliations. You no longer have power over me, Narcissus Andreevich.”
