Luxembourg Fuel Prices Drop: Cheapest Gas in Years

Fuel prices in Luxembourg are continuing their downward trend, with gasoline prices set to decrease starting Thursday, according to announcements made Tuesday. The price of 95 unleaded gasoline will fall by 3.6 cents per liter, to 1.392 euros, reaching its lowest level in four years.

The reduction extends to 98 unleaded gasoline, which will witness a decrease of 4.6 cents per liter, settling at 1.523 euros – a price not seen in over a year. These adjustments apply to all service stations throughout the Grand Duchy.

The price reductions follow a similar move earlier this week with diesel fuel. As of February 24, 2026, diesel in Luxembourg was priced at 1.465 euros per liter, according to data from RTL Today. Heating fuel is also available at 0.901 euros per liter.

Across Europe, fuel prices vary significantly. As of February 13, 2026, gasoline 95 E10 in Germany costs 1.63 euros per liter, while diesel is priced at 1.60 euros per liter. France currently lists gasoline 95 at 1.60 euros and diesel at 1.58 euros. Finland’s gasoline 95 is priced at 1.63 euros per liter, with diesel at 1.67 euros. The Netherlands shows significantly higher prices, with gasoline 95 at 1.88 euros and diesel at 1.68 euros.

Data from the ACL (Automobile Club Luxembourg) indicates that fuel prices within Luxembourg are standardized across all stations, a contrast to the varying prices observed in other European countries. The ACL provides updated fuel price information for Luxembourg and several European nations, with updates occurring as frequently as possible.

Prices for alternative fuels are also available. LPG is currently priced at 0.710 euros per liter, according to Aral, while Adblue costs 1.673 euros per liter.
