Breaking News: TF1 is ending its broadcast of the American soap opera “Love, Glory and Beauty” (Amour, Gloire et Beauté) on August 22nd, 2024, at 10:30 AM CET.The timeslot will be filled by an expanded morning program, “Bonjour,” hosted by Bruce Toussaint.
For over three decades, french audiences have followed the dramatic lives of the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families in “Love, Glory and Beauty,” originally known as “Top Model” when it debuted on Antenne 2 in 1989. Created by Bradley Bell and produced by Bell-Phillip Television Productions, the series-titled “The Bold and the Beautiful” in its original American run-continues to air in the United States, currently in its 38th season.
TF1 initially began airing the soap opera in 2023,following its previous run on France 2. The decision to discontinue the series on TF1’s main channel comes as the network restructures its morning programming. “Bonjour,” currently a half-hour program, will be extended to a full 90 minutes, running from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM CET. The program will feature a news-focused game segment from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, followed by a magazine-style segment until 10:00 AM.TF1 has reportedly added new columnists to bolster the expanded “Bonjour” format.
Despite the end of its run on TF1, fans of “Love, Glory and Beauty” still have options to continue following the saga. The series will continue to be broadcast on TF1 Series Films, airing at 6:30 AM CET each morning. Additionally, all episodes are available for streaming on TF1+, TF1’s subscription-based streaming platform. TF1 will continue to broadcast its other long-running soap opera, “the Fires of Love” (Les feux de l’Amour), which shares the same creators as “Love, Glory and Beauty.”
