The University of Louisville men’s basketball team will open its 2025-26 season Monday night against South Carolina State at the KFC Yum! Center, with tip-off scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The game will be broadcast nationally on the ACC Network, with Wes Durham and Dennis Scott on the call. The ACC Network’s coverage is a result of a partnership between the conference and ESPN, launched in 2019, and facilitated by the University of Louisville’s $8 million Athletics Broadcast Center, completed in September 2018.
The broadcast center, a 7,850-square-foot facility, is connected via fiber optic cables to all University of Louisville athletic venues and directly to ESPN. It houses 28 cameras, including 10 primary cameras – four equipped with 80x lenses – nine robotic cameras, three point-of-view cameras, and six cameras integrated with a mobile production trailer. The center contains 82 television monitors and utilizes 2,560 wires, totaling 38.6 miles in length, and 576 strands of fiber.
Louisville fans can also listen to the game on the Louisville Radio Network, with 93.9 WLCL serving as the flagship station in Louisville. The network will feature the “Louisville Sports Live” show with Ethan Moore and Tayler Lynch on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m.
The opening of the season marks the continuation of live programming originating from the UofL Athletics Broadcast Center, a shift from previous practices that relied on mobile trucks for event coverage. The facility includes two full video control rooms dedicated to linear telecasts intended for broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or the ACC Network.
