London Celebrates “The trick” Book Launch, Fueling Momentum for Patriarchy Education

LONDON – A vibrant book launch event in London marked the final stop on the tour for “The Trick,” author Lee Chambers’ new work aiming to spark conversations about the patriarchy with young audiences. Held at a Foolproof venue, the event drew a crowd of supporters, including Chambers’ partner and son, and featured a panel discussion skillfully hosted by Zoe Blaskey.

Chambers expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support, highlighting the impact the book is already having. “From the stories you are sharing with me I truly do believe this book is changing hearts and minds and we’re only just getting started,” chambers shared. The author envisions “The Trick” achieving widespread recognition, stating a goal for the book to become “as ubiquitous as Bluey – a household name, but for changing the world.”

The event showcased a collaborative effort, with Stella O. sourcing the floral arrangements, Hannah M. Pearce FRSA securing balloons, and Bianka B. from the Hype Squad providing on-site support. Andrea Varga of WWF assisted with sales and payments. Attendees enjoyed biscuits from The Biskery (https://lnkd.in/dcnkBsCu).

Chambers playfully recounted a moment at the event’s close, noting an assumption about who would want to take home the stunning bouquets. “I only asked women… I WAS TRICKED!!”

To further the book’s reach, Chambers encouraged supporters to purchase a copy (link in bio), leave reviews on Amazon or Goodreads, share the post with their networks, and engage in conversation about the book’s message. The launch underscores a growing movement to introduce concepts of gender equality to children and foster a more equitable future.
