Lola Young Cancels All Upcoming Shows, Citing Need to Focus on Health
Rising UK singer-songwriter Lola Young has canceled all of her scheduled performances “for the foreseeable future,” announcing the decision via a statement posted to her social media channels. The cancellation impacts fans awaiting her appearances at festivals and concerts, and marks the latest in a series of health-related disruptions to the artist’s burgeoning career.
Young, 28, expressed deep regret over the cancellations, stating, “It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future.” She assured ticket holders they would receive full refunds and pleaded for understanding,adding,”I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me,it hurts me more than you know. I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.”
The announcement follows a recent incident at the All Things go festival where Young fainted onstage, and a prior withdrawal from Audacy’s we Can Survive Concert in newark due to mental health concerns. Young has been open about her ongoing health battles, including diagnoses of ADHD and schizoaffective disorder, as well as a 2024 stay in rehab to address cocaine addiction.
Young gained prominence after years of performing and competing in talent shows like Open Mic UK and Got What It Takes? in England.Her 2023 sophomore album, This Wasn’t meant for You Anyway, propelled her to mainstream success with the single “Messy” topping the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. She released her third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, in June 2024.
