“You Don’t Give a Damn!”: Plus belle la vie Stars Lola Marois and Jérôme Bertin Involved in Explosive On-Set Dispute
MARSEILLE,FRANCE – A heated argument between Plus belle la vie (PBL) actors Lola marois and Jérôme Bertin reportedly escalated to a shouting match on set in July 2024,revealing a clash of personalities despite a long-standing friendship.Marois detailed the incident during an appearance on the At Jordan de Luxe pools program, describing a rapid and intense disagreement stemming from differing views on COVID-19 safety protocols.
Marois, who plays Ariane Hersant on the long-running French soap opera, explained that the conflict arose when Bertin expressed concern over her lack of a face mask. “He’s one of my best friends, but as we have two very strong characters, suddenly he was afraid of covid and I didn’t have a mask, and it went super high, super loud, super far in two seconds,” Marois recounted.Bertin allegedly accused her of being reckless, stating, “You don’t give a damn but you’re younger than me, you don’t have my health!”
Marois responded defensively, questioning his tone: “But wait, how are you talking to me?” According to Marois, onlookers intervened, urging them to de-escalate the situation.
Despite the intensity of the argument, the two actors quickly reconciled. “Afterwards, he came to see me in the dressing rooms, he gave me a hug and we hugged each other. But honestly it was really bad,” Marois admitted.
The revelation comes amidst ongoing attention surrounding the series and its cast, including recent news of Marois’ character, Ariane Hersant, becoming “pregnant” as a storyline, and the tragic disappearance of fellow Plus belle la vie actor Marwan Berreni. Marois recently spoke emotionally about berreni, recalling fond memories of him from cast gatherings, but declined to comment further out of respect for his family’s privacy.
