Dijon’s Loïs Boisson Honored with WTA Performance Award After Breakthrough 2025 Season
Loïs Boisson has been recognized for her stellar 2025 performance, receiving the prize for best performance on the WTA circuit at the eighth edition of the Women’s tennis Trophies held at Roland-Garros. the award acknowledges a season that saw the French player reach the semi-finals at Roland-Garros, win the Hamburg tournament, and finish the year ranked No. 36 in the world – a meaningful jump from her No.188 ranking at the end of 2024.
“It’s obviously a source of pride and this award goes straight to my heart but I want to say that this is only the beginning,” Boisson said, according to We Love Tennis. ”I certainly hope to be here for a while yet.” Sarah Rakotomanga was awarded the trophy for best progression, having climbed from 371st to 122nd in the rankings this year.
Boisson concluded the 2025 season with minor injuries, addressing a thigh problem and subsequently receiving a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) infiltration in her knee to alleviate discomfort.”I recovered well from this injury in Asia. Frist, I took a few days off. Then I started preseason. And there, I just had to do a little PRP…in the knee to relieve some minor pain, but everything is going very well,” Boisson shared with Tennis News.
Currently in preseason, Boisson plans to continue training in Barcelona next week before heading to Australia. “Looking forward to 2026,clearly! We will continue to prepare well, start the season well. We have one month left here and then we’re leaving there,” she stated.
