WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Mountain Region team secured a spot in the Little League World Series championship game, defeating the Metro Region 8-7 in a nail-biting contest at Howard J. Lamade Stadium on Saturday.
The Mountain Region team, representing the states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho, will face Nevada in the championship. Nevada advanced after a victory earlier in the day.
Aruba’s jayderick Wederfoor showcased resilience on the mound, escaping a bases-loaded situation with no outs to limit the damage against the Metro Region. The Metro region represents New York city.
