Little Flower Home Seeks Property for Catholic Maternity Home in Columbus

Little Flower Home Seeks Property for Catholic Maternity Home in Columbus

October 29, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Pregnant women aged 18 and older who are experiencing housing instability will soon have access to a new residential resource in Columbus, as a founding board moves forward with plans to establish the Little Flower Home.

Establishing the Little Flower Home in Columbus

Little Flower Home is an established nonprofit organization in the state of Ohio, catholictimescolumbus.org reported. The organization’s founding board has been meeting regularly and praying daily to discern the establishment of the Catholic maternity home. Members are actively working through dedicated committees to shape the daily rhythms, traditions, formation, and life-skills programs of the facility.

The nonprofit is currently searching for a physical property in the Columbus area that can accommodate the needs of incoming mothers and infants while also providing adequate space for support staff. Prospective property opportunities can be submitted to the organization via email at LittleFlowerHome@protonmail.com.

Support Services and Daily Life for Residents

The maternity home is designed to function as a family-centered environment rather than a basic shelter. Residents will receive material assistance, nurturing relationships, and structured support aimed at building independence and faith.

Programs within the home will teach practical skills, including cooking and the proper care of living spaces and personal belongings. Residents will also share daily family-style meals and participate in hobbies, meaningful activities, and positive leisure time.

Support for the mothers will not end at childbirth. The organization’s commitment extends through each child’s first year of life.

Founding Board Creates Secure Home for Mothers in Columbus

Members of the founding board have held a long-standing desire to bring this specific mission to the Columbus area.

The board continues to prepare the structural framework for the home, focusing on creating a secure, faith-filled environment where mothers can develop confidence and stability.
