Bold & Stunning Cast Shares Heartfelt farewells to Departing Luna Star Lisa Yamada
Los Angeles, CA – November 22, 2023 – As Lisa Yamada concludes her run as the complex character of Luna on The Bold and the Beautiful, a wave of appreciation from her co-stars is flooding social media, highlighting the impact of her performance and the respect she’s earned within the cast and crew. Yamada’s departure, confirmed via an Instagram post on november 21, has prompted an outpouring of support recognizing her skill in portraying a character who evolved from innocent newcomer to villainous antagonist and ultimately, a woman seeking acceptance.
Yamada’s portrayal of Luna captivated audiences with its dramatic shifts, and colleagues were quick to acknowledge the challenge she met with remarkable talent. Lawrence Saint-Victor, who plays Carter and also writes for the soap, praised Yamada as an “absolute warrior,” stating, “To carry story the way you did and command the screen is nothing short of amazing. To play the innocent ingenue, then the evil villain to the broken character that just wants to be loved….. chef’s kiss! You’re amazing!”
Rebecca Budig, known for her role as Taylor, expressed regret that she didn’t have more scenes with Yamada, saying, “Wish I could have done more with you, girl! They threw so much at you… so many words, so much emotion, and you rocked it all.”
